Party Peepholes!
So, here we are...back again! A few points to address:

RIP Gordon Parks, who passed this week at the age of 93. If you don’t know who he is, get a late pass and do your homework...Your legacy will forever affect us all brother.

One love to Josh Deep, Kahil El Zabar and The Ethnic Heritage Ensemble for blessing Jump N Funk with a beautiful live afro jazz set last month at SOBS! This month’s live guest will be Afrodisia, a live Afrobeat Band from San Francisco, sure to please. Our live segment is slated for a 9pm to 915pm start time, so please spread the word that we are doing great live acts before the party now, y’all! More info TBA!

My apologies to Keita, DJ Spinna and anyone who came out on February 25th expecting to see me spinning at Pepper’s Loungs with Spinna. Had some family responsibilities that jumped up on me last minute and had to miss the event. Y’all know the kid HATES missing work, so I owe you one Spinna! Thanks for your understanding.

Last Wednesday at APT with Q Tip was freakin’ gonzo doo doo bananas! One love to all my heads who came through and rocked with us. Tip, one love my dude. Had a blast rockin’ witchoo, and I look forward to the next episode.

Afrorikan Vybe has renewed its relationship with Fluid in Philly, and we will continue to provide you with the best in afro latin influenced house music and dance classics on the 1st Friday of every month at Fluid. Stay tuned for new promotions, special guests, and the next NYC Afrorikan Vybe episode.

Leaving This Planet has been rocking at Libations ( 137 Ludlow) since leaving Table 50. We apologize to our dance peoples for having to spin in the sports bar section of the club last week without notice. The venue had some sound issues on the 3rd floor, and we should be back in the 3rd floor space next month. Stay tuned for more info, and thanks for the continued love and support!

Big up to Spinna, Geology, Waajid, and DJ Scratch for an incredible J Dilla Tribute party Monday niht at APT. I think they raised like 1500 smackers for Dilla’s moms and his final hospital bills and such. We love and admire you guys for putting your money and effort where your mouth is like that. Dilla woulda been blushing all night and asking y’all how the hell you got your hands on all those exclusives! Much love and Dilla lives on!

Tonight it’s back to the grill again at APT! You know how we do it. Hope to see you shakin’ ya ass and watchin’ ya self tonight!
