Congratulations and thank you to Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble for having me at their LP release party at SOB's last Thursday night. Y'all sounded really really good man. Special shout to Felix and Kaleta ( appreciate the Zo Zo Afrobeat 7 inch homie!!!!), and the Fela tune with Amayo was outrageous!!!!

Friday night, Afro Disco came to Philadelphia at Fluid! For years, I've done Jump N Funk in NYC and traveled the event practically worldwide, preaching the afrobeat and afro soul sound. Now, Jump N Funk is called Afro Disco, and we just brought our new name and new attitude to Philadelphia, along with Brother Mark and the Afro Disco visuals, the legendary Leonard "Doc" Gibbs, and my main man J. Carlos Izzaguire, bringing you the percussive truth behind the whole story. One love to everyone who came out and rocked with us Friday night. Truly one of my best experiences in Philly in a really long time. It's good to be home. Love y'all and here's to the next Afro Disco episode at SOBs on March 20, and at The Winter Music COnference on Friday March 28th at Shine inside The Shelborne Hotel from 2 to 8pm.
