Africa Rise! 

On September 11, 2010 Melting Pot Global, September Concerts, and NextAid.Org present “Africa Rise!” This event will feature Melting Pot Global residents DJ Kervyn Mark and Kamala celebrating the music of Africa with Philly's own Rich Medina (Jump N Funk). Expect to sweat as this trio spins the best in Afro-Beat, Ancestral Soul, and more in a musical tribute to "the Motherland". This event is being done as a September Concert’s <http://www.septemberconcert.org/>  site.

The September Concert <http://www.septemberconcert.org/>  is a celebration of peace and humanity through music.

For this amazing event, donations and part of the admission proceeds will be collected for NextAID <http://www.nextaid.org/> . NextAid is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization committed to developing and implementing innovative solutions to the challenges facing African children. Their mission is to promote community-driven, environmentally sustainable, economically and socially empowering responses to the AIDS orphan pandemic. This all takes place at Water Taxi Beach/ South Street Seaport in lower Manhattan New York. The venue is 18,000 square feet of fun, food, sun, recreation and relaxation. Located along the water’s edge on the north side of Pier 17, this Beach offers the most spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River in the city.
